In a previous post, the best sports pump up songs, we wrote about how music can enhance your mood and how it can be used to get your kids fired up for their sporting events.

Now, with school back in session and sports in full swing, it is time for a playlist that will empower girls on their way to games, mom’s going for a girls night out or at least help you keep your head in the game when you are chauffeuring children around all afternoon. To make sure you are in the right frame of mind when you pick up, drive and drop off , download our ILTWYP Girl Power List.

(Every family has varying degrees of tolerance these days for music with strong language, so be advised, not all of these songs are appropriate for young children. Although we used the ‘clean’ links, sometimes ITUNES will default to the explicit version if you don’t have restrictions set on your ITUNES. Some of the songs contain strong language and content.)

About the founder

According to a survey conducted over 30 years by two coaches and athletic administrators about what young athletes want to hear most from their parents after a sporting event, it turns out it is: “I love to watch you play.”
