A Great Solution For Parents Tired of Tracking Down Your Kids Sports Stuff!
By Alex Flanagan
A friend of mine handed me a bag of stuff other day she had found lying around her house and asked if any of it was mine. Two water bottles, a bathing suit top, flip flops, a single tennis shoe and tennis racket and a basketball uniform. It all belonged to one of my three children and had been left behind at her house after various playdates and sleep overs and was piling up in her laundry room.
Meanwhile, I had been searching high and low for these missing pieces for months! I swear, I waste hours every week tracking down my kids stuff! I’m cheap, so all I can see when something gets lost is giant dollar signs. All this sports stuff is expensive! So I was excited to see one of my favorite stationary companies, Minted, is now selling a new line of kid’s name labels to help us customize clothing, food containers, water bottles and sports equipment. The labels are laundry safe, waterproof, dishwasher safe, and non-toxic. They sell for $16.00 per sheet of 72 labels and they are adorable. (click here to see labels) and putting them on is simple enough that it makes for a brilliant summer project for your kids to do.

She was flying home from an NFL work assignment when a learning specialist, who was sitting next to her, shared 5 reasons she shouldn’t feel guilty missing her son’s game. She shared their conversation on her own website alexflanagan.com and the response was so overwhelming it inspired her to co-create ILTWYP to help parents like herself navigate youth sports.
